As a result, the Hall would change its voting procedure. NFL Network Senior National Columnist Judy Battista reported on Sunday that Belichick’s recent snub resulted in the president of the Hall making changes to make sure the best candidates actually get in.

“[Pro Football Hall of Fame president Jim] Porter wants to make sure the voters are selecting the absolute best candidates who are on the ballot this season,” Battista reported on NFL GameDay Morning.

The changes would include reducing the 50-person committee, adding more non-media members, including historians and former general managers, reducing the number of modern-era player finalists (currently 15) and making the votes public.

Randy Moss says only former NFL coaches and players should vote for the HOF after Bill Belichick’s snub

Earlier on Sunday, NFL legend and Hall of Fame inductee Randy Moss went off on voters. During the Super Bowl edition of “NFL Countdown,” the retired wide receiver didn’t hold back.

“I’m not gon’ to really sit up here and just badmouth the Hall, ’cause there are some guys that just got selected to this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame that I do not want to take the light from,” Moss said. “But one thing about not electing Robert Kraft, not electing Bill Belichick, the one thing that I would talk to all the voters. I really believe, as a football player, if you didn’t play it, if you didn’t coach it, you shouldn’t have a vote. I don’t care who you are, I don’t care how you feel about it. Like I said, I don’t wanna take no shine away from the guys elected today, and that’s it for me.”

The Bill Belichick situation has become a major issue around the league.
