Oklahoma Sooners drop 1 spot in updated USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll

The Oklahoma Sooners finished the regular season 23-6 and 11-5 in SEC play as they prepare for the SEC women's basketball tournament in Greenville, South Carolina. They enter the postseason as a top 10 team in the AP Poll and come in at No. 8 in the latest USA TODAY Sports women's basketball coaches poll released on Tuesday.
Despite going 2-0 last week, the Sooners dropped one spot from last week, flipping spots with the Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines picked up a pair of top-15 wins last week. Still, the Sooners enter the postseason with a great opportunity to host a regional for the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament and could land as high as a three seed in the bracket.

The rest of the top 10 remained the same. UConn has been the unanimous No. 1 for months, and UCLA has been right behind them. South Carolina, Texas, Vanderbilt, and LSU have jockeyed for the next four spots in the poll, giving the SEC five teams in the top 10. The Big Ten is the only other conference with more than one team in the top 10, with UCLA, Michigan, and Iowa.
