3 positions Jaguars could prioritize in Rounds 3-5 of NFL draft

· Yahoo Sports

In the middle rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, we could see the Jacksonville Jaguars target three specific position groups.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com recently ranked each position group in this year's draft class. When it came to the interior offensive line (3rd) and wide receiver (4th) positions, Zierlein noted the depth of those units through the first five rounds of the draft. At tight end (T6), Rounds 3-5 could be the sweet spot, where a number of players are drafted.

For the Jaguars, they have a wealth of picks in those middle three through five rounds, holding six selections, and with that, the opportunity to capitalize on the depth of those aforementioned position groups.

At wide receiver, the Jaguars are positioned well at the top of the depth chart, but their pursuit of Jake Bobo told us that they are still looking to add to this room.

Along the offensive line, the Jaguars aren't experiencing any major roster turnover. However, for a team that stresses competition up front, I can't rule out an addition either, as Jacksonville looks to be more effective in the run game this season.

Tight end, meanwhile, topped the list of under-the-radar positions of need for the Jaguars.

Ultimately, how GM James Gladstone ranks individual prospects and who is available when the Jaguars are on the clock will dictate which direction they go. But perhaps the odds of the Jaguars addressing these positions in that middle portion of the draft will be higher, given the strengths of those units in this year's class.

Some added good news for the Jaguars is that the two positions at the top of Zierlein's rankings were edge rusher and linebacker -- two big needs for Jacksonville.

Unfortunately, the defensive tackle class ranks near the bottom.
