49ers add OL, DB help in new 3-round mock draft

The San Francisco 49ers only have two picks in the first three rounds after trading their third-round pick for Dallas Cowboys for defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa. The team still has two top-60 picks, though, at Nos. 27 and 58.

What the 49ers do there will help determine what general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan think of the team going into the 2026 season. They could add more offensive firepower, upgrade the defense or find depth pieces either either or both of these selections.

CBS Sports' Ryan Wilson went with a more pragmatic approach in his newest mock draft. Wilson picked Utah tackle Caleb Lomu at No. 27 before adding Florida cornerback Devin Moore at No. 58.

We might look back in a few years and Lomu is the best tackle in the class. In San Francisco, he'll be ready to step in for Trent Williams when he eventually moves on.

This is a future-looking move for a 49ers team that looks a lot different when Williams isn't in the line-up. Whether or not that happens this year, next year or later is yet to be determined, though.

The 49ers' other pick, Moore, would give San Francisco considerable depth at cornerback. Moore is tall at 6-foot-3 with a 198-pound frame and tallied five interceptions over the past three seasons for Florida. He's only played in 30 games over four seasons, though, and his 4.50-second 40-yard dash time leaves a bit to be desired for the position.

San Francisco doesn't have much outside cornerback support after Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green, though, so taking Moore in the second round would certainly round out the unit for Raheem Morris' defense.
