Minor league update for 4/4/26

The Sarfaq Ittuk is a vital and iconic coastal ferry for Greenlanders, keeping small west coast communities connected to low cost. It links Qaqortoq in the south to Ilulissat in the north in a week-long journey. This year, an unusually warm January allowed the ferry to reach Ilulissat much earlier than usual, as the town is normally blocked by sea ice in March. Around 200 passengers travel on board for medical needs, work, tourism, or simply to meet people. 2025 2nd rounder A.J. Russell made his professional debut for Hickory, striking out three in two perfect innings.

Dewar Tovar doubled. Marcos Torres walked, tripled and stole a base. Paulino Santana was 3 for 4 with a stolen base. Josh Springer was 1 for 2 with a pair of walks.

Hub City starter Ismael Agreda allowed five runs in four innings, striking out six and walking three. Thomas Ireland struck out four and walked one in 2.2 IP, allowing two runs. Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa struck out two in 1.1 shutout innings. Joey Danielson struck out one in a scoreless inning.

Maxton Martin was 3 for 4 with a walk and a pair of doubles. Paxton Kling was 2 for 4 with a walk and a homer. Malcolm Moore and Gleider Figuereo each had a hit.

Frisco won a 1-0 game against the hated Hooks of Corpus Christi. David Davalillo threw 5.1 innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Round Rock starter Cal Quantrill bounced back from his awful first outing, throwing five shutout innings and striking out four. Robbie Ahlstrom struck out four in two scoreless inning. Michel Otanez walked three and struck out one in 0.1 IP, allowing three runs. Peyton Gray threw 1.2 scoreless innings.

Alejandro Osuna had a hit and a stolen base. Cam Cauley had a walk and a stolen base.
